Time To Go Shopping, Bargain Style! A guide for the beginning paper crafter

If you are starting to experiment with card making, scrap booking, or other paper craft, it is time to add to the essentials list I posted earlier  ( link to that post by clicking Card ) . Here is a list for you to splurge on at your local dollar store:

Any kind of things to color with: crayons, colored pencils, water colors, paints,

TWO or more marker sets , plus clear rubbing alcohol, and very small squirt bottles (one to two ounce size)  :  you can pull out the center of each marker with scissors or pliers , place in the bottle, and add the alcohol to make your own alcohol color sprays. Trust me, you will love it.

If you have room, poster board in any color, and those big display boards, too (you will cut them up in future projects)

PAPER of any variety

White glue..to glue with, of course

Aluminum foil ..makes  good faux metal embellishments

baby wipes...for your hands

Cheap white flour : makes super paper mache dip

Storage with lids...to put your splurge in

paper clips...to hold things together while they dry. Also use a straightened one to unclog glue bottle

plain file folders...make great mini albums and notebooks

utility knives

make up cotton squares...useful as stamps for inks & paints ets

tape in a dispenser...so you can use tape with just one hand
